BOTANICALS
We make our gins by hand, in the style of London Dry. This means we macerate (18-36 hours) and distill all botanicals together and distill in one pass. London Dry Gins are the most technically challenging Gins to produce as they require deep expertise of the botanicals and expert level distilling knowledge. Our Gins are a true distillers cut, every time. All of these intentional practices come together to create that ultra clean, ultra smooth, ultra premium experience we all have come to know and expect in Astraea Gins.

Danielle stands as the visionary force behind Astraea Spirits, where she serves as both Founder and Master Distiller. Astraea stands out as a spirits’ brand with a rare touch. It is entirely owned and operated by women, crafting exquisite organic Gins that draw inspiration from the rich tapestry of flora and fauna found in The Pacific Northwest.
Danielle's journey to mastery is marked by notable achievements. Trained as a Master Distiller at the esteemed Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, she has also honed her skills as an herbalist and holds certifications in advanced distillation techniques and sensory analysis.
In a field historically dominated by men, Danielle's accomplishments stand as a testament to her expertise and dedication. She ranks among the select few women in the US to hold the title of Master Distiller. Furthermore, her induction into the UK Gin Guild, a distinction earned by only one other American since its establishment by Royal Charter in 1638, solidifies her place as an emerging icon in the industry.
